Hi there, welcome to February 2023!
This site started about 10 years ago - but we are in the process of giving it a much needed over haul, updated gallery and bits and bobs.
Stay tuned!
Hi there! My name is Alyssa Jackson and I am a 17 year old artist based in Adelaide, South Australia with an interest in illustration.
With influences including Arthur Rackham, Alan Lee and Yoshitaka Amano, I have a fascination with detailed inkwork and dynamic sketching.
I have received academic awards in English, languages and Visual Art from 2018-2022. I received an Environmental Achievement Award on Australia Day 2020 for my illustrative work when I was 13 years old referencing Kuku Yalanji* wildlife in the children’s book Everything Flows to the Sea.
*Kuku Yalanji are the indegenous inhabitants north of Cairns. Their traditional country extends from south of Mossman (near Port Douglas) to Cooktown in the north, and Palmer River in the west.
(My artwork appears on seven pages from page 4 through to page 16).
